Notes
In the experiment, the volunteer will be asked to listen to very familiar melodies (pop music, classical music, Christmas carols, etc)  and to detect ‘odd notes’, either based on very simple musical rules (dissonance) or on prior expectations of the melodic contour. At the same time the researcher will record the reactions of the pupil.  It will allow comparison between the behavioural and physiological responses and find any dissociation between the two.
