Source of referenceBetween 1749 and 1756, William Stukeley wrote a five-volume account of the Royal Society in the 1740s and early 1750s based on his own attendance at meetings (and quite a lot of rumour and anecdote), which he sent to the SGS for the benefit of its members. The volumes are entirely unique and of fairly major interest to historians of science, antiquarianism and the Enlightenment. Stukeley drops all sorts of names, inventions, historical events, etc., so there's quite a lot to dig into. There are two parts to the project a) to transcribe the pages and b) to reseach the characters and reseach described.
Output
The ultimate goal is to digitise these volumes and to put them online with a full annotated transcript

NotesThis is a purely online project.
