Project ID: 697
Description | Mary Butcher is investigating the link between William Marshal and Caversham Park and Court, especially towards the end of his long and successful life. Marshal, who had served the Plantagenets all his life, is credited with the survival of Magna Carta, taking this failed peace treaty under John and as his son's regent turning it into a last manifesto of good government. |
