Description | Dr Peter Borrows is leading a team in Amersham, working with the local museum, exploring the history of the Amersham Martyrs, persecuted for wishing to read the Bible in English during the reign of Henry VIII. In all, about 200 people were implicated in the investigation and five men and one woman were burnt to death. |
