Output | Historical accounts of four iconic businesses in the Bangor area - for digital archiving; An illustrated booklet on these businesses to be issued in March 2020 free to the public; An exhibition panel on the four businesses with photos and text to be exhibited in March 2020 as part of a travelling exhibition in Ards & North Down Borough Council area. |
Notes | The Bangor Heritage Group conducting the research comprises 11 members drawn from North Down & Ards U3A and Bangor Historical Society. The project is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and led by the Heritage Officer of North Down Museum, Moira O'Rourke. The four subjects are Bangor Cotton Mills, Neills of Bangor ( Coal Importers), McKeown's Fishmonger & Poulterer and Bangor Italians. This project resulted in the setting up of a Film Making Group in 2021. |
